Carol May Ellen Devine, 73, passed away on March 17, 2024, at her residence in Arbor Park Assisted Living Center Moorhead, MN. She was born March 26, 1950, to Adelbert and Pearl (Hafemeister) Jarvis in Otter Tail County, MN.
She is survived by her remaining children, Doyne (Todd) Grow, Moorhead, MN, Kenneth Devine, Wahpeton, ND, Melinda McCourt, Breckenridge, MN, and Kimberly (Jesse) Raguse, Campbell, MN; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud (Theresa) Jarvis, Alden, MN, and Alvin Jarvis, Roseville, MN; sister, Pearl Frances (Preston) Casperson, Bertha, MN; sisters-in-law, Annette Crocker and Jeanne Devine, Breckenridge, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She worked in housekeeping, laundry, and as a CNA at St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis Nursing Home, Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center, and St. Catherine’s Nursing Home.
Of Carol’s careers during her lifetime, her favorite was being a loving mother and grandmother to all those that passed through her door. Carol was artistic and passed her talents on to her children. She was known for her pies, donuts, bread, and homemade pudding. All were welcome at her table. All felt her love and received a gentle hug and smile.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joy Helen; her husband, Lowell; her oldest daughter, Jean Ann Devine; her father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Evelyn Devine; brothers-in-law, Donald Devine, Virgil Devine, and Gordon Crocker; and her sister-in-law Barbara Devine.
Visitation for Carol will be Friday, March 29, 2024, from 5 – 7 PM, with a prayer service at 6:30 PM, at Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead. Her funeral will be Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 2 PM, at Grace United Methodist Church, Moorhead. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.
