Carol Ann Fisler, 78, passed away surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.
Carol was born in Schenectady to the late John H. and Jean (Moore) Fisler and was a graduate of Linton High School. She became a nurse and served her community, caring for others for 50 years at Ellis Hospital. Carol was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, animals, The New York Giants and Nascar racing. She was always singing, humming a tune or giggling and she always looked forward to her shopping trips with the girls.
Predeceased by her parents John H. and Jean Fisler, Carol is also predeceased by her brother John A. Fisler, several aunts and uncles and her cousin Diane Scanzano.
She is survived by her loving cousins, Marjorie (John) Seymour, Kenneth (Jackie) Wachowicz, Judy Moore-Kelman, Holly and her son Cole Crozier, Noelle (Dan) Mussen and their children Avery and Aidan Mussen, Andrea (Daren) Fields and their children Paige and Parker Fields, Thomas (Jen) Seymour and their children Riley and Mason Seymour and their granddaughter Carter, Nicole (Chris) Embry and their children Harper and Owen, Janine (Alex) Crogan, and Anthony Scanzano.
On behalf of Carol's family, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses, doctors and medical staff at Nathan Littauer Hospital as well as her friends and staff at Pineview Commons for the excellent level of care and compassion that you provided to Carol and our family.
Services for Carol will be held on August 19,2024 at 12 pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Carol's memory to the Fulton County Regional SPCA
