She attended Pensacola High School and following graduation, studied abroad in Monterey, Mexico. She was married to Douglas Donald Fussell for 55 years. Carol worked at Chemstrand/Monsanto for several years before becoming a homemaker. She attended East Brent Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in game days both at East Brent and at Wallace Baptist Church. Carol loved people and traveling with friends and family. She was a talented piano player and taught piano prior to starting her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Roy Duun; mother, Blanche Marie Goodloe; brother David Leroy Dunn; and husband Douglas Donald Fussell.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Jean Fussell Mayne and Deborah Michelle Fussell; two grandchildren, Brandon Matthew Mayne and Ashton Nicole Mayne; three great grandchildren, Benjamin Mayne, Emmett Mayne and Stella Howard; and many other close family members that she loved so much.
