Carol S. Grulkowski, 84, of Mosinee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Three Oaks Senior Nursing Facility in Marshfield, after a courageous battle with dementia.
Carol was born on December 20, 1941, in Bevent, WI, daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Kleman) Falkowski.
She graduated from Mosinee High School in 1959. Carol’s life work involved being a housewife, mother, and working outside the home, ending her career path with retirement from WeatherShield Windows & Doors. During retirement she received certifications and helped her daughter with Daycare, especially enjoying taking care of the babies.
Carol enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, playing card and board games with family and friends, planting flowers (both indoor and outdoor), and going to Bingo with her daughters. Most of all, she loved crocheting clothing and blankets for her friends and loved ones. Another of Carol’s greatest joys was caring for and spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her children: Cheri (Mark) Mondroski, Carla (Barry) Hester, Junice (Patrick) Hauer, Janet Detert, and Walter (Lisa) Grulkowski, Jr.; her grandchildren: Phillip Blarek, Nichole (Josh) Kearns, Amanda Mondroski, Erik (Jenni) Mondroski, Jon Mondroski, Kelle Staszak, Micaela (Ian) Ackley, Scott Ladwig, Aaron Detert, Matthew Wix, Jacob Wix, and Shane Deland; her great grandchildren: Lillian Blarek (Mark Tillman), Khloie Cherek (Jamison Seibert), Calli Saputo, Loki Barrett, James Mondroski, and Marley Kearns; and her sister, Irma (Richard) Walkowski.
Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Charmaine (Mark) Staszak; her grandson, Dustin Charneski; her brother, Charles Falkowski Jr.; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (Clarence) Walkowski and Betty (Donald) Blicki.
