Carol Harner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Feb. 3, 2026.
Carol A. Harner, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away January 31, 2026, at the age of 60.
Carol was the hardest worker you will ever find. She was a Claims Manager, II, with NGS for over 37 years. She was loved by those with whom she worked and supervised.
Carol was also the life of the party. Her laugh and "honk" were contagious. She could make friends anywhere she went. Carol enjoyed playing bingo with the crew, shopping (especially at QVC), traveling with friends, and spending time with family.

Carol is survived by her sister Tammy Dippery (Roy), nephew Adam Deitrich (Nicole),
grandnephews Aydan and Austin, several aunts, uncles, many cousins, and so many friends whom she considered family. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Ellen Harner, and her beloved dog Cutter.

Carol will be deeply missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. At the Enola First Church of God, at 9 Sherwood Drive, Enola, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A brief graveside service will take place at Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3776 Peters Mountain Road, Halifax, PA. A light luncheon will follow at the Halifax Area Ambulance-Rescue Association, 31 Bunker Hill Road, Halifax, PA. All are welcome.

Carol was my Part B Claims manager at National Government Services and we worked together for 30 years. She was one of the best managers I´ve had in all my employment years, most dedicated and hard working, go to person, empathetic and loving individuals. She treated her associates in the most professional and thoughtful way. We weren´t just a team. We were family. Carol´s going home is a huge loss. She wasn´t just my manager. She was my friend and dearly loved. May she rest in paradise until I see her again.
In loving memory!

Carol touched so many lives and had a work ethic that everyone should emulate. She was a true friend for so many years. She will be greatly missed by us all. I know she is smiling "and laughing" down on us everyday.

I´ll miss our chats, your sense of humor, your unforgettable laugh, and point of view. The world will be a little less bright without you. My deepest sympathy to all of Carols family and friends.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Carol. She was dedicated, generous, and always willing to help. A wonderful listener and problem solver, Carol was a true rock for so many of us.
She was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her and will be greatly missed. Her impact will always be remembered.
