Carol B. Hartshorne, age 91, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1934 in Riley, WI to Martell and Lynette (Helgeson) England.
A single mom early on, Carol raised her five children and devoted her life to the success of her family. She was the glue that kept her family together.
Carol loved being a school bus driver, and she dedicated over thirty years to taking care of those kids. She loved crafting, rosemaling, baking cakes for family and friend events, and wintering in Florida to visit Art.
In the last three years, she moved to the McFarland Villa where she enjoyed her time and thrived in that community.
Carol is survived by her children Diane Aaroen, Art (Carlton) Kampmeier, Jim (Karen) Kampmeier, and Renee (Mark) Kennedy; daughter-in-law Barb Kampmeier; grandchildren Daniel (Katie) Aaroen, Danette (Tim) Grossman, Jennilyn (fiancé Steve Nelson) DiPiazza, Jeremy (Kelli) Kampmeier, Ryan Kampmeier, Melissa Kampmeier, Joshua (Melissa) Kampmeier, Benjamin Kennedy, Christopher (Lisa) Kennedy, and Tyler (Sara) Kennedy; step-granddaughter Becky (Tony) Konkel; and great-grandchildren Lillian, Lucas, Nolan, Alexander, Leonardo, Bella, Braeden, Grayson, Savannah, Pax, Zoey, Kendall, Elliot, Riley, Sydney, and Caleb; best friend Jeanette Egner; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Arne Kampmeier; second husband Doug Hartshorne; son Carl Kampmeier; her parents; and six siblings.
Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Cress Funeral Service MCFARLAND with a service to begin at 11:00 am.
The family would like to thank the McFarland Villa and the Bristol Hospice for their care and compassion for Carol.
