Carol Harvey,79, of
Braddyville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Clarinda Regional Health Center, Clarinda. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Shearer Cemetery,
Braddyville, Iowa with Scott Davison officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 20 at Nodaway Valley Funeral Home,
Clarinda, Iowa. Burial will be in the Shearer Cemetery,

Carol Lee Harvey died peacefully at Clarinda Regional Health Center in
Clarinda, Iowa on May 17, 2023 at the age of 79.
Carol Lee Harvey was born September 12, 1943, in
Clarinda, Iowa, the son of William Frank Harvey and Ruby (Henderson) Harvey. His family lived on a farm in Brooks, Iowa where he attended a one room country school until they moved to a farm near
Elmo, Missouri. He attended Elmo school until they consolidated with Burlington Junction. He graduated from West Nodaway High School in 1961. In 1966, Carol was united in marriage to Barbara Long in
New Market, Iowa. They were blessed with two children, Howard and Leanne. They made their home in
Braddyville, Iowa.
Following graduation, he shelled corn for area farmers and then went to work at the
Blanchard, Iowa elevator. Carol then worked at Miller Feed in New Market and then went to work for Earl May seed Company in Shenandoah until his retirement to farming full time, which was his true love.
Carol enjoyed working his team of Belgian horses, collecting old John Deere tractors, listening to country music, watching John Wayne westerns and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceding Carol in death were his parents, Frank and Ruby Harvey and his grandparents.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty seven years, Barbara Harvey of Braddyville, son, Howard Lee Harvey and wife Stacey Ann of Braddyville, daughter, Leanne Renea Hardy and husband Scott of
Shenandoah, Iowa; grandchildren, Lane David Harvey and wife Julia Marie of Braddyville, Mark Keith Hardy of Shenandoah, Ashley Irene Hardy of Shenandoah; great grandchild, Brian Leslie Harvey of Braddyville; brothers, William Harold Harvey of Northboro and companion, Jean Wilson and Charles Darrell Harvey and wife Betty of
Elmo, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
