Carol Ann Hinson (née Weigel), born on November 4, 1939, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 86.

Carol was the daughter of the late Anita (née Mackin) and Walter Weigel. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Weigel, her daughter, Lori Davidson, and her granddaughter, Piper Hinson.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Reagon, brother-in-law, Randy Reagon, and her brother, Michael Weigel. Carol leaves behind her children, Linda Hinson and Jeff (Heather) Hinson. She was a cherished grandmother to Mathew Bridger, Michael Huffman, David Huffman, Daniel Huffman, and Aedan Hinson; great-grandmother to Mia Bridger, Trinity Bridger, Alexis Bridger, Mathew Bridger Jr., Alana Huffman, Allison Bridger, and Adelyn Huffman; and great-great-grandmother to Jessica Bridger and Elena Bridger.

Throughout her life, Carol found immense joy in collecting unique treasures that reflected her vibrant personality. She had a particular passion for Barbies, amassing an impressive collection over the years. Carol was fiercely independent and dedicated herself to the care of her daughter Linda. She took great pride in her Irish heritage and the rich history of her Mackin family.

In her later years, Carol faced several health challenges. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace. A celebration of her life will be held for the family at a later date.
