Carol Jensen Obituary

Carol was born in Carrick on April 30, 1929. She graduated with high honors from Carrick High School in 1947. Further, she was a Fine Arts graduate at the University of Pittsburgh. Carol was a distinguished member of the Mortar Board, Emeritus Member of Pi Delta Epsilon, and was named to the OWL'S Hall of Fame, and was nationally recognized for her work on a national publication. In addition, Carol won several beauty pageants. She worked at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as a librarian until retirement. Carol was a kind, friendly, and generous person. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cats and dogs, and accepted all strays, most of all humans. She was an avid bridge player.
Carol would have liked people to enjoy nature and take a deeper interest in the world around you.
There will be future services and burial at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., Oakmont.

We remember Carol fondly. Her Aunt Coral was our neighbor and almost like a 2nd grandmother to us. You have our sympathy.

I am so very sorry for your loss.
I remember Carol when she would come to Pogue to visit her Mother Kathryn, Aunt Ida and Aunt Coral. She was always beautiful and quite classy. I have many fond memories of her children especially her daughter Jenny and I playing in Kathryn´s yard, sniffing the beautiful flowers, hanging around in the greenhouse, bird watching with binoculars and playing on our farm. Kathryn always took a summer photo or two of us together. (They´re all at our Mother´s home in Pogue).
I will certainly keep you all in my daily thoughts and sending hugs and comfort prayers for you all.
God bless you during this most difficult time.
