Carol Josephs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC - Bethlehem on Jan. 1, 2026.
Carol A. Josephs, 88 of Hanover Twp., passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, December 29, 2025. Born in Bronx NY, she was a daughter of the late George and Emma (Moskal) Marsh. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moore Twp.

Her granddaughter writes:

To Carol, who was so much more than a grandmother-she was my second mother and my lifelong confidant.

I will always cherish the unique bond we shared. From the stories of my infancy, when only you and my mother could comfort me, to the countless memories we made throughout my life, our connection was truly special. Even though we called you Carol instead of Grandma, you embraced it, and it became a symbol of our close relationship.

I will forever be grateful for the time we spent together in the kitchen, where you taught me to make Sunday sauce, holiday cookies, and apple pie. Those moments were filled with love and laughter. I also remember our walks to Kmart which was always an adventure. As I got older, you were always there for me, whether I was celebrating a happy moment or needed comfort during a sad time.

You had a zest for life, Carol. I will never forget our Black Friday shopping adventures, your love for a glass of wine, and hearing about your travels around the world. Your life from the Bronx, Staten Island, Ohio, Florida and then landing in Pennsylvania. Finding joy in simple pleasures like your Red Hatters club, a game of shuffleboard, or lounging by the pool. Your sense of style remained with you until the very end.

It was an honor to care for you in your last year, a small way to reciprocate the love and care you gave me throughout my life. You were the best grandmother a granddaughter could ever ask for, and our love was truly one of a kind. I will miss you eternally, but I know we will meet again.

Love always and forever,

Carlina (aka Minerva)
