Carol Brader Obituary

Carol (Kay) Duit Brader

April 18, 1940 - May 31, 2025

Carol passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 85. Throughout her life, she was guided by her faith, which shaped her values and her service.

As an adult, Carol led and participated in many Bible studies, enjoyed her leadership roles in the Stephen Ministries through Blackhawk Church in Madison, and shared her musical gifts both within her church communities and as a piano teacher to children. She grew up in Boscobel and always remained proud of the beauty of the picturesque valleys and bluffs of southwestern Wisconsin.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Amy and Emily; grandchildren, Eva, Miranda and Matthew; her sister, Joyce; her nieces and nephews; their children; and a wide community of extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers or gifts to the family, please consider making a donation in Carol's name to a charity that works to soften some of life's difficulties for others in your community. In lieu of a celebration of life gathering, we ask that you honor her memory in your own chosen way; whether through conversation with mutual friends or family reminiscing about memorable times spent together, through reflection on your own values and beliefs, or through an act of kindness.

Carol and her husband Kent were dear friends for 30 plus years. We had many laughs and good times together.
Carol.was a Bible scholar and teacher who loved the Lord with all her heart.

She was blessed with a second godly husband after Kent died, George Brader. He brought comfort and love into her life.

I will miss her, but rejoice that she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Mrs. Duit was a wonderful Bible Study teacher to me and my friend Kristy. We were in Monroe High school in 1970-74. Wonderful memories and still treasure the many lessons of the Bible that she shared. Diane Drye Lorenzini

Matthew 25:23, "Well done, good & faithful servant...." Amy & Emily, your mom was such a faithful witness for God. She meant everything to me & the girls through Bible Study & piano lessons. Praying for God´s comforting presence in the coming weeks and months!

Carol had a profound impact on my life, from being my piano teacher in 5th & 6th grade, to helping establish me in my new life in Christ in my late teens and later becoming a life-long friend. I am one of a long list of people who will be forever grateful for her.
