Carol A. Kohser

1957 - 2022

Carol A. Kohser, 64, of Kittanning, passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, while in the company of family at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Carol was born in Pittsburgh on July 10, 1957, a daughter of the late Amelia (Bruno) and Charles H. Johns II. Carol had worked for many years in the accounting department for JC Penney Shared Services Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. After moving to the Kittanning area, Carol started her own business, doing medical billing for a number of doctors in the area. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sarver. Carol held a special place in the hearts of many people and children. She was a talented painter as well as crafter. Her spirit of giving and helping other was in her DNA and she never thought twice when someone called. She freely donated her time to many organizations to help make other's enjoy life. She will surely be missed by all. Carol is survived by her husband of 30 years, William Kohser; two brothers, Charles H. (Patricia) Johns Jr. and Ronald A. (Renee) Johns; and a sister, Sandra L. (Johns) Ewing She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Shirley Kohser, and many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and -nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, in the REDMOND FUNEAL HOME INC., 524 High St., in Freeport. Funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 817 S Pike Road, in Sarver, with Bishop Brandon Bodily officiating. Burial will be held in Mount Royal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphans of the Storm, 11878 Pennsylvania 85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
