Carol Langer Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 4, 2026.
Carol Lee Langer passed away peacefully on December 30 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in Saint Paul, surrounded by those she loved most. With her sons Greg and Jeff at her side, Carol was embraced by the same devotion and care that she had given so generously to others.

Born on March 12, 1943, Carol made her home in Roseville, where she built a life defined by devotion to her family, her faith, and her passions. Above all else, Carol was a mother. She was the proud mother of Gregory Michael Langer, Jeffrey Scott Langer, and Steven Lawrence Langer, who preceded her in death. She was also a deeply devoted grandmother to Brandon Scott Langer and Alexander Michael Langer, never missing a single game, school event, or milestone. Whether it was baseball, football, soccer, basketball, or a school program, Carol was always there, cheering with love and pride.

Carol found great joy and purpose in the world of dogs. She began showing Dachshunds in obedience, but her true passion blossomed with Papillons, which she showed in both breed and agility. She bred Papillons under the kennel name Car-Lee and was immensely proud of her involvement in the dog community. Carol was a dedicated member of the American Kennel Club, the Land O'Lakes Kennel Club, and Animal Inn. Friends and fellow exhibitors could reliably find her ringing in the new year at the annual Land O'Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show at the Saint Paul River Centre-a tradition that reflected her enduring love for the sport and community.

A devout Catholic, Carol lived her faith through kindness and care for others. She was known as an excellent cook who never hesitated to set an extra place at the table for a friend, and as a generous baker who delighted friends and family each Christmas with dozens of homemade cookies, given freely and joyfully. She also loved the Minnesota Twins and followed them faithfully.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Langer, and her son Steven. She is survived by her sons Greg and Jeff, and her grandsons Brandon and Alexander, who will carry forward her traditions of loyalty, generosity, and love.

Carol will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering presence for those she loved, her deep faith, and the countless lives, both human and dog, that were better for having known her.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday January 13 at 10:00 AM, visitation at 9:00 AM, at St. Rose of Lima, 2048 Hamline Ave N, St Paul, MN. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville.

Carol was my nieces Mother in Law years ago. I remember going to both Michael´s and Steven´s funerals and only found out about Carols passing on the day of her funeral. She was such a kind and generous woman with so much love for her family. I had a great deal of respect for her and honor for her dignity in grief of losing one of her sons too soon after losing Michael.
RIP Carol. My condolences to Greg, Jeff, Brandon, Alex as well as extended family and friends who loved her.
