Carol J. Maine, 86, of Oelwein, died on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Buchanan County Health Center in Independence. She was born on April 30, 1936 in Waterloo, the daughter of Lucien and Evelyn (Busker) Wilson.
Carol graduated from Waterloo West High School and Pitze's School of Beauty.
She married Jerome Frost June 18, 1955, they later divorced. Married Richard Maine April 30, 1991, he preceded her in death on July 27, 2011.
Carol taught at Pitze's School of Beauty in the mid 70s, then she worked at American Color Imaging for 21 years, retiring in 2001.
Carol is survived by 4 daughters, Sandra (Fred) Hanselmann of Bristol, VA, Sharon (Gary) Rubino of Oelwein, Rhonda Roberts of Gilbertville, and Julie Frost of Oelwein; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; her cousin, Shirley King of Cedar Falls. Her granddaughter Amanda Franck took over the supervision of her grandmother's medical care for the past 10 years.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, Lucien Wilson; mother, Evelyn Herbsled; stepfather, Francis D. Potts; husband, Richard; and grandson, Eric Roberts.
