Carol Moore Obituary
Published by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services - New Haven on May 22, 2012.
Carol was born on April 5, 1954 in New Haven, Connecticut. The daughter of the late Wilbur A. Cooper and Ethel M. McClam Cooper, she was a resident of Middletown, Connecticut for over 20 years. She worked as a CNA in the Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown, CT until her retirement in 2011.
She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall and was baptized in July 2007.  She will be remembered for her famous Pound Cake, Fruit Cake, and Sweet Potato Pie. Her lovely crochet work will be remembered for generations to come.  Her tenor voice will be missed from the family choir and her big smile and laughter will remain in our hearts. Carol lived a life based on principles of faith in Jehovah, loyalty to family, and kindness to others. Although Carol was challenged with many health issues throughout the years, she held on to her belief, as it is stated in the Holy Scripture from Isaiah 41:10 "Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not gaze about for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with My Right Hand of Righteousness." Carol dedicated her life to share The Good News about God's Kingdom. She attended regular meetings which anchored her faith to continue to give to encourage others to search for God's purpose in their lives. She leaves four daughters, Anisha D. Cooper, Talisha L. Cooper, Traci V. Moore and Evelyn M. Cooper. She also leaves five sisters, one brother, 3 brother in-laws, one sister in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Carol's love reached beyond what the natural eye could see. Carol valued her family and if she felt that you would be a good match into the family circle, you would be sure to know. She had a way of examining any situation, weighing all sides and balances to give of herself so that those around her would find themselves better than they were before they entered into her realm. Â
One of Carol's favorite scriptures:
2nd Corinthians 1:3-4 "Blessed be The God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Father of Tender Mercy and the God of all Comfort who comfort us in all our tribulations that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we are selves are being comforted by God.
Messages from her cousins:
"It was just last summer when she and my fiancé Howard were sitting at the table at Ethlean's wedding reception singing all the oldies and goodies together. They knew EVERY OLD song and sang them out loud like no one else was in the room!! She immediately told him, "you're going to fit right in with the family." I'm so glad he had the chance to meet her and that she gave an official "welcome to the family" approval. She will be missed at so many family gatherings because she loved her big ole Cooper Family! Rest on cuzzin...we will see you again!"
"Yes, Carol Jean will be greatly missed. I was telling my friends how much she meant to this family and how strong the root this family is. You always see her smiling. Never once I've seem any of you not making me laugh. This family is so well bonded, link and rooted in LOVE! and I am proud to say, I'm glad to be a part of it. "
"We were together in January and we had such a good time, singing all the old songs. Â I didn't know that would be our last time together. We had a wonderful time. God is so good."
