Carol Nenow Obituary
Carol was a force of nature. Wrapped in warmth and laughter, she brought a trademark friendliness and a silly sense of humor to everything she did. She delighted in the world with an enviable ease-whether in the contagious energy of a catchy refrain, the 27th screening of a favorite movie, or the childlike joy of stepping foot in Disneyland. As a former coloratura soprano for the Utah Opera, music filled her life and home. As a lifelong Lutheran, her faith sustained her. She was a fierce and loyal friend.
But more than anything, Carol was a singularly devoted mom. She poured her whole life, heart, and soul into her daughter-to her dying day. Her unwavering support fed all that her daughter is or may still become. "Mom" was her favorite name, her greatest talent, and her deepest joy.
Carol leaves behind her daughter, Hillary Benson, and son-in-law, Brian, who were with her until the end, as well as siblings, extended family, and her grandpuppy, Strudel.
A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 13th at 10:00 AM. All who knew and loved Carol are welcome to celebrate her life with us.
