Carol Ness, age 81, died peacefully on April 6, 2025 surrounded by her family after a battle with lung cancer. She was born to the late Edward and Sophie Niemiec and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as the second oldest of nine children: Anne, Frank, Mary, Therese, Linda, Michael, Edward, and Laurie. She is preceded in death by her brother, Frank.

Carol married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Ness, in 1964 and they enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. She was the loving and caring mother of Kristin (James) Fallieras and Craig (Rebecca) Ness. Her 5 grandchildren, Sophia, Eleni, Nicholas, Theodore and River knew her affectionately as "Nana" and she often spent her days cheering loudly on the sidelines, applauding curtain calls and supporting their personal interests.

Carol’s work ethic was displayed in her role as a medical assistant at Ohio Health where she retired after her 70th birthday. She displayed strength and tenacity during her long fight with cancer, which included numerous health challenges.

Her family and friends will miss her dearly, but are at peace by the fact that she is no longer in pain. The family would like to thank Hospice of Central Ohio at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for providing comfort care in her final days.

There will be a visitation with a light breakfast Friday, April 11, 2025 from 9:00am to 10:15am at Newcomer Funeral Home- Powell, located at 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio 43065, followed by a Eulogy service at 10:15am to 10:30am.
