AVILLA - Carol Jean Paduano, 90, of Avilla, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Avilla, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1934, in Bay City, Michigan, to Frank and Mary (Platusic) Tindall.
Carol married Charles "Bill" Paduano on Jan. 31, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana. He preceded her in death on Aug.19, 2016.
Carol was known for her green thumb and loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed watching birds - cardinals and hummingbirds being her favorite. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a son, Charles F. (Julie) Paduano, of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Terry (Gene) Rowe, of Avilla and Lucinda Weimer, of Avilla; grandchildren, Charles "Chase" (Sara) Paduano, Kristi (Adam) Acker, Kelli (Andrew) Croghan, Misty (Cory) Sage, Lindy (Jason) Robinson, Kyle (Marissa) Rowe and Duel Weimer; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N. Main St., Avilla, with visitation one hour prior.
Visitation will also be from 3-7 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at the funeral home.
Carol will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.
Active pallbearers will be Chase Paduano, Kyle Rowe, Duel Weimer, Blake Graves, Cayden Robinson and Collin Paduano. Honorary pallbearers will be Jarred Paduano and Gage Kumfer.
Contributions in her memory may be directed to the Humane Society of Noble County.
