Carol B. Pearson, age 76, of Bainbridge, GA passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, November 7th at her home. She was the daughter of I.M. "Bram" Bramblett and Anne Gurley Bramblett. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida but spent the majority of her life in Bainbridge. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1967.

While working for First Federal Bank, she took a transfer and moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where she met an Air Force Staff Sergeant named Steve Pearson. The two were married on March 26th, 1977. After a brief stint living in her late husband's native Nebraska, the two returned to Bainbridge to take over operations of Bram's Restaurant from her father. Not long after, Carol promoted herself to the position of stay-at-home mom.

Carol was a kind and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved good food, good music, and visiting Mexico Beach. She was impeccably skilled at decorating Christmas trees and was so prolific at sending holiday cards to her loved ones that her grandchildren were convinced she worked for Hallmark. She was a caring pet parent to several beloved dogs and cats over the years and even fed and watered any friendly garden lizards who might greet her on her sunroom or back porch. She was always willing to lend a sympathetic ear to her friends and family and had mastered the lost art of only voicing her opinion if someone asked for it. She was raised in the Southern Baptist faith, and while she wasn't a regular church attendee, she had a deeply meaningful personal faith in Jesus.

Survivors include her son, Josh Pearson (Frani); her daughter, Katharine Lindley (Zim); her grandchildren Bram and Zona Pearson; her brother, Jimmy Bramblett; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, as well as her brother, Ivell Bramblett, and her sister, Cathy Widner.

A memorial service will be scheduled and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105. www.stjude.org/donate
