Carol Pearson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Funeral & Cremation Services and Cemetery - North Olmsted on Jan. 13, 2026.
Carol A. Pearson, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.

Carol was the beloved wife of Bruce Pearson for 48 years. She was a devoted mother to Christine Tabor, Cheryl Pearson, and son-in-law Brian Tabor. She was a proud and loving grandmother, known as "Nanny", to Jade (Keith) James, Emma "Dakota", Sydney, and Bryce Tabor, and a cherished great-grandmother to Malakai, Rory, and Brian James.

She is survived by her siblings Nancy (Jim) Bain, Barb (Mike) Palko, Janet (Jim) DallaRiva, and Richard (Jane) Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dorthy Wagner, and brother Robert Wagner Jr. who is lovingly remembered by his spouse, Iris. Carol is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

Carol found happiness in spending time on her patio with a fire and driving her TT with the top down. She loved sipping tequila and sharing a bottle of wine (or a few) with loved ones. She always showed up for milestones, no matter how big or small, which proved how deeply she cared for others. Always keeping busy and her body moving, she found joy in traveling, golfing, snow skiing, boating, and anything else where she could feel the sun on her skin.

Constantly on the run to the next thing, you would never know where in the world Carol would be. From ski resorts around North America and Europe, to wineries in Ohio and breathtaking vineyards in California. At family parties it came as a surprise to everyone, including Carol, when the big, blue box showed up, leading to an astonishing performance of the two polka songs she knew by heart.

She was a well-educated woman and through determination, she became an incredible nurse with a passion for caretaking. She was a bright light wherever she went and was always the first to think of others. Above all, she treasured family gatherings (always the last one to leave) and time spent with her grandchildren and extended family. Carol enjoyed supporting her grandchildren at various sporting events, musical performances, and life accomplishments.

Carol will be thoughtfully remembered and missed by family and friends for her inclusivity, charitableness, vibrant personality, and infectious laughter.

A mass followed by a celebration of Carol's life will be reserved for family and select close family friends.

Dear Bruce and beloved family and friends-
No words are adequate for the loss of Carol. I had the privilege of working with Carol at Fairview for decades! She was an amazing nurse - she was goodness personified, and an inspiration to me to be the BEST NURSE EVER!
Deepest sympathy and prayers-
Janice Murphy
