Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to Carol Ann “Mema” Pecoraro, who passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at the age of 83. Carol was born on June 28, 1942, the only daughter of Dominick Camy and Anna Zicari, who preceded her in death.
On December 12, 1959, Carol married the love of her life, Kenneth Pecoraro. They shared a lifetime of love and devotion until his passing on April 25, 2009. Carol took comfort in her Catholic faith, and we find solace knowing she is now reunited with her beloved Ken.
Carol was the fierce, loving, stubborn, and protective heartbeat of her family. If Mema loved you, she loved you hard—and if she disagreed with you, you knew that too. She poured her entire heart into caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her strength, her comfort, and the safe place she created for all of us will never be forgotten.
Although we are grateful that she is now free from pain, the void she leaves behind is immeasurable. Fly high, sweet Mema. We will miss you deeply and love you forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
