Carol Schroeder, 76, of Bleiblerville, passed to her heavenly home February 27, 2025. Visitation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Visitation with family will be held 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Welcome Lutheran Church, with the Funeral Service starting at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John R. Sutton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Welcome Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Carol was born on October 8, 1948 to Frank Joe Broz and Gladys Mattie Macat Broz. She was baptized on December 4, 1948 and confirmed on December 1, 1959. On December 26, 1965 she was united in marriage to Larry Schroeder, and they were blessed with two daughters, Sherry and Shannon.
She was a beautician for 40 years. She served on the altar guild, was on the financial committee, mutual ministry committee, a member of the Women of Welcome and she volunteered as a softball coach for her daughter's team. She enjoyed fishing, gambling, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed sightseeing and going on trips. She was an excellent cook, mother and wife. She believed in the Lord, Jesus Christ and attended Welcome Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Larry Schroeder; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Brian Siemsglusz and Shannon and Todd Froebel; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (BeBe) and Roger Wunderlich; brother-in-law, Roger Kruger; grandchildren, Jordan Siemsglusz and wife, Taite, Bailey Siemsglusz, Logan Froebel and Kyler Froebel; great-grandchildren, Liam Siemsglusz and Saige Siemsglusz; sisters-in-law, Ruth Zettel and Corine Lakey; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Angele and Charles Franke; brother-in-law, Wendell Eckermann and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gladys Broz and sister, Mary Jane (Janie) Krueger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Lydia Schroeder and a sister-in-law, Margaret Eckermann.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Siemsglusz, Kyler Froebel, Chad Eckermann, Charles Franke, Jr., Ryan Krueger, Larry Lakey, Kevin Wunderlich and Clarence Zettel, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Siemsglusz, Todd Froebel and Liam Siemsglusz.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to Welcome Lutheran Church or Traditions Health Hospice Care.
