Carol Shirley Lorbiecki Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point on Feb. 25, 2025.
Carol Ann S. Lorbiecki, of Bevent and formerly of Milwaukee, passed away February 22, 2025, at Mount View Health Center (North Central Health Care), at the age of 82.
Carol was born November 22, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI; daughter of the late Henry and Esther (Boguslawske) Ufken. She grew up in the West Allis area, attending local schools, and graduating from Nathan Hale High School.
Following high school, Carol married Gerald "Jerry" Lorbiecki. In their 52 years of marriage, they welcomed 2 sons to their family, which later led to 5 grandsons and 1 bonus granddaughter. To help support her family. Carol worked for Briggs and Stratton for many years.
Carol found enjoyment in a variety of activities such as basket making, baking, sewing, and other crafts. She also had a soft spot for animals. In fact, she cared for various animals over the years, and loved each and every one of them. She especially loved to feed and spend time with her outside cats as well as watch the birds outside her home. While Carol enjoyed spending time with her friends, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was fondly known as the family's official "fish breader" for their homemade Friday family fish frys and absolutely cherished her bucket list trip to Hawaii with her family. She would do anything for her family!
Carol is survived by her son, Scott (Nicole) Lorbiecki and their children Wyatt, Eli and Noah, her daughter-in-law, Michelle Lorbiecki and her children Bryce and Brett Lorbiecki and Brook Perez. She is further survived by her nieces and nephews Jenny, Holly, April, Neil and Casey.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her parents, Henry and Esther Ufken; her son, Brian Lorbiecki; and her sister, Ruth Ufken.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at North Central Health Care for taking such good care of Carol. Especially Jodi; we will forever be grateful for the care you provided Carol as well as us!
In addition, thank you to all the friends and family who have supported Carol and the family since August.
