Carol Smith

Mrs. Carol H. Smith age 80, of Fayetteville departed this life Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 5th at 12:00 noon in the Northwood Temple Church. Burial will take place on Saturday, December 6th at 12:00 PM in Resthaven Cemetery in Wilson NC.

There will be a public viewing and the family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2025 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the church.

She was preceded in death along with her parents, her husband, Johnny P. Smith; and Walter A. Cooper Sr..her beloved brother Charlie Hagan. She leaves to cherish her memories; her son, Walter A. Cooper Jr.; her daughter, DeAnna C. Cooper; her son-in-law, Johnny P. Smith Jr. (Cynthia); and her daughter-inlaw, Bernadette Smith. Carol was also blessed with grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy: Alexis E. Johnson (Daniel), Felicia A. Raudales, Patricia Mayzick Williams, Hailey E. Anderson-Cooper, Cara M. Smith (Stephen), Jasmine M. Smith, Felix T. Raudales, and Joshua R. Smith. Her niece Lillie Mae Hagans and three nephews. Great Nieces and Nephews. One brother- in–law Lloyd Cooper. A host of cousins with special mentions of Leroy Sauls, James Alton Powell and Ruth Coley. She cherished her bonus children: Melanie Ward, Beverly Mayzick, Dena Hines, Mark Farmer, Christopher Barnes, and Robin Peppers. She is also survived by a host of special friends; Edna Hines – Milligan, Brenda Simmons, Dennis and Susie Arndt will forever live in the hearts of her loved ones, her church community, her students, and all who were blessed to know her.
