Carol Jean Thacker

Carol Jean Thacker, 93, of North Little Rock passed away January 12, 2023. 

She was born July 27, 1929, to the late Arthur and Blanche Kennedy, in Dardanelle, Arkansas.  She was a long-time member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church where she served Our Lord in many capacities.  Carol was a receptionist, secretary, office manager, confectionist, phenomenal baker and cook who loved to prepare meals, snacks, and coffee for anyone and everyone whether in need or not.

Carol and Leroy traveled extensively in the United States and so enjoyed being  park attendants at several Arkansas State Parks.  Carol also was blessed to travel to Jerusalem.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy ; daughter, Lee Ann Moore; four sisters, and one brother.  Survivors include two daughters, Marcia Cash and husband, Chris, of Hot Springs, and Brenda Word of North Little Rock; seven Grandchildren, sixteen Great-grandchildren, and eight Great-Great-grandchildren., as well as many other relatives and friends.

Very special gratefulness to her Grandchildren Melissa Moore Halpain and Matthew Moore and their families for being so caring and attentive to their Mamaw and taking personal time with her.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by the funeral at 10:30 AM, Monday, January 23, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church, North Little Rock.  Burial will follow at the AR State Veterans Cemetery.  Extended obituary will be posted soon.
