Carol June Thomas

Carol June Thomas, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on January 16, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, January 20th at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev Seth Mierow will be officiating, assisted by Pastor Jeremy Mills of Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am immediately before the funeral at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. There will be a fellowship gathering in St. Peter's Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers of Zionsville, IN. Carol was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 9, 1935. She graduated from Bayview High School. During her high school years she enjoyed ice skating and attending basketball games. A strong Lutheran, Carol was married to Donald Lee McCoy. Carol was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Reds fan. Carol is survived by her sister Theresa Radke, daughter Kathy Holliday, son Gary McCoy, grandchildren Daniel, Kristine, Christian, Jacob and great-grandchildren Mario, Haileigh, Hunter, and Presley, and other family and friends. Carol is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Freida Kendt Ballbach. Donations may be given to the Salvation Army.
