Obituary published on Legacy.com by Klein Funeral Home - Champions on Dec. 22, 2025.
Carol Lynn Thomson, 70, of
Cypress, TX, went to be with Jesus on December 20, 2025. She was born on September 23, 1955, to Ollin Walton Williams, Jr. and Betty Sue Kane in Tripoli, Libya, Africa.
Carol (and twin Karen Ann) were born on an Air Force base in Tripoli in 1955. Her father, Ollin, a career United States Air Force pilot, was stationed in several countries in her youth before the family ultimately returned to the United States and settled in Rockport, Texas. Nicknamed "Pogo", she was one of 8 children and a spitfire from a young age. Though small in stature, she was quick on her feet and proudly played point guard on her high school basketball team.
In 1991, she married the love of her life, Danny, and joyfully gained an instant family with three children, Josh, Jill, and Jonathan, whom she loved and cared for as her own. To complete their family, she gave birth to a son, Kenneth Ollin Thomson, in 1992.
In recent years, Carol and Danny shared a passion for travel, exploring Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Mexico, the Caribbean, Hungary, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, the Netherlands, and many destinations across the United States.
Carol was a beautifully eclectic soul. Whether through her fashion choices or her home décor, she expressed a style that was uniquely her own. Her magnetic personality touched everyone she met, and she held her friendships as precious gifts, keeping those she loved close to her heart. She loved "garage saling" with friends, endlessly searching for her next exciting find.
Most importantly, Carol walked closely with Jesus and was unashamed to share her faith. She was full of the Holy Spirit and found great joy in reading her Bible and worshiping through music. Her faith was a guiding light in her life and a gift to everyone who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Daniel Thomson of
Cypress, Texas; her four children, Josh Thomson of Austin, Texas; Jill Grabowski and husband Darren of Lantana, Texas; Jonathan Thomson and wife Anita of Lewisville, Texas; and Kenny Thomson of Berlin, Germany; her siblings, Susan Buff Matrau and husband John; Melanie Jean Stokes and husband Carson; and Sandra Lea D'Imperio and husband James; and her four beautiful granddaughters, Abby Grabowski, Paige Grabowski, Emmalyn Thomson, and Melody Thomson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollin Walton Williams, Jr. and Betty Sue Kane, and her siblings, Victor Michael Williams, Ollin Walton Williams III, Karen Ann Williams, and David Sean Williams.
