Carol Lynn Voyles, born on January 6, 1946, in Alton, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in Glasgow, Kentucky. She was a beloved sister and devoted aunt, who dedicated her life to both her family and her career.
For 45 years, Carol served as a lab technician, a role that not only showcased her professional dedication but also her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to her work. Beyond her career, Carol held many positions at the First Church of Nazarene in Glasgow, where her faith and contributions profoundly impacted her community.
An ardent lover of music, she found joy in playing the piano, often filling her home and church with melodies that resonated warmth and cheer. Carol also had a passion for gardening, nurturing her plants and flowers with the same care and love she extended to her family.
She is survived by her brother, Randy Voyles (Kathie) of Columbia, South Carolina; her nieces, Rachel Lewis of Colombia, South Carolina and Caitlin Voyles of Orlando, Florida; her nephew, Ryan Voyles of Lugoff, South Carolina; as well as her great nephews, James Lewis and Cairo Nalls.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Larwin Voyles, and her mother, Francis (Cutler) Voyles.
Visitation will held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Glasgow, Kentucky on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the church, commencing at 10:00 AM. Carol will be laid to rest at Chapman Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Illinois on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Carol Lynn Voyles will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering spirit, and the profound connections she nurtured throughout her life. Her legacy of dedication to her work, love for her family, and deep faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
