Carol Lee Wittkofske
Carol Lee Wittkofske, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at her home in Thomaston, CT. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Wittkofske. Born in Milford, CT, on September 28, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Gaston Lucien Briere and Mary Virginia (Adams) Briere.
Carol graduated from the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree and worked as a registered nurse at Bridgeport Hospital early in her career. Carol was devoted and enormously supportive to her career, family, and friends and was that person that many people depended on. Carol was a loving wife, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is survived by her brother Gaston A. Briere and his wife, Arlene, of Bridgeport. She is predeceased by her sister, Lois Jeanne Briere Franco.
