Carol Wright

North Augusta, SC- Ms. Carol Wright, 85, entered into rest February 16, 2026. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday evening, February 20th, from 5 until 7 o'clock at Posey Funeral Directors. Interment will be held at a later date.

Carol was born on November 19, 1940, to the late Claude Perry Williamson and Sarah Lousie Cox Williamson. A native of Dallas, Texas Carol made North Augusta, SC for 28 years. She retired from SRP Federal Credit Union and served as a bank teller for many years. There was nothing Carol was prouder of than her children and grandchildren. Carol found motherhood to be her true calling and becoming a grandmother was her biggest accomplishment in life. Carol thoroughly enjoyed knitting in her spare time and would often make blankets for her beloved children and grandchildren. When she was not found to be knitting, Carol could be found reading.

Surviving family members to cherish her memory include her daughters, Lisa Shaw (George) and Laura Schindler (Bart); her six grandchildren, Sarah Gibson (Travis), Jessica Shaw (Richard), Clay Wootten (Kit), Nicholas Schindler, Hailey Schindler, and Landon Schindler; her three great-grandchildren, Audrey Gibson, Wesley Gibson, and Evelyn Gibson; her sister, Jan Pridham; her nephew, Dr. Craig Kleinmann (Leigh); and her niece Stacey Pridham.
