Carol B. Yafchak

Carol B. (Sisto) Yafchak, 84, of Liverpool, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2nd at Upstate Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Carol made her home in Liverpool, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Francis J. Yafchak; her children, Mark A. Yafchak and Laurie A. Maugeri (Yafchak); son-in-law, Michael Maugeri; and her cherished granddaughters, Kayla Echeandia and Jessica Yafchak.
She was predeceased by her parents, Eileen and Anthony Sisto; and her sister, Susan Sisto.
Carol worked for many years in Circulation Development for the Syracuse Newspapers and later with American Frozen Foods before retiring. She enjoyed listening to music, was active in the Town of Salina Seniors' Group and treasured every moment spent with her husband and family. Carol was known for her warmth and genuine interest in others, she was always quick to ask how things were going in your life and to share her wisdom and heartfelt advice.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Carol's dedicated caregivers for their compassionate care and support during the final months of her life. Carol will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
