Carole Brodmerkel Obituary

Carole E. Brodmerkel, 86, of Saxonburg, went to her eternal rest on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at Embassy of Saxonburg.
Carole was born in New Kensington on Feb. 27, 1938. She was the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Swartz) Brodmerkel.
Carole graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1956. She worked at Penn Champ in East Butler for 34 years. Carole worked on the assembly line. She enjoyed her job because of her wonderful co-workers. She retired in 2000.
Carole was a member of GraceWay Community Church. Her faith was important to her. She read her Bible every morning and did a daily devotional.
Carole may have not had any children but she was not childless. She was a magical aunt to her six nieces and nephews. She had many interesting adventures with them over the years. Some of the adventures included grapevines, learning to ride a bike, sled riding and picking out a new puppy.
Carole loved many things. She loved People magazine, gnomes, books, wearing hats to match her outfits, typing, elephants, Yorkshire terriers and anything Irish.
Her passion was bicycling. She would ride mostly along the Allegheny River in East Brady and Moraine State Park. Her longest ride was 34 miles. She rode her bicycle well into her 50s.
Aunt Carole will be greatly missed by her niece, Beth (Dick) Beeler. She moved to Saxonburg to live with them for a few years and then moved to Magnolia Place in Saxonburg.
Carole will also be missed by her nephews, Chris (Rebeca) Brodmerkel of Homosassa, Fla., and Curt (Rhiannon) Brodmerkel, of Karns City. Her niece, Lori (Eric) Kwasnicka, visited often from Louisville, Ohio. Her honorary niece, Judy Brodmerkel, of Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, also visited regularly.
Carole was predeceased by her nephew, Bruce R. Brodmerkel; and her niece Melissa Bennett. In addition to her parents, her brothers, Bruce A. Brodmerkel and Butch Brodmerkel, predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her sisters-in-law.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Magnolia Place. She made her home there for eight years and considered many of them as family over the years.
BRODMERKEL - A memorial service for Carole E. Brodmerkel, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, will be announced by the family at a later date.
Carole was deaf and received her first hearing aids at age 27. To honor her memory, memorial donations may be made to Western Pennsylvania Lions Hearing Foundation, 228 Pearl St., Butler, PA 16001.
