Carole Costa Obituary

Carole J. Costa
CAROLE J. COSTA (née Sienko)
Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Carole was born in Lockport Illinois. She attended St. Thaddeus grade school and graduated from St. Francis Academy in 1960. She retired in 2018 from Homer School District 33C Butler school as a Paraprofessional. She was especially loved by her students and staff, and she genuinely loved them just as well.
Carole enjoyed creating memories with the four generations; mother, daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter during their "girls" road trips. She loved the trips and it didn't matter their destination as long as they were all together. She always looked forward to their next great adventure. Carole loved her home filled with her family, playing cards and sharing in their laughter and enjoyment. Her favorite card games were Euchre, Uno, and Rummy, and she by far, held the title for most wins in the board game Aggravation. She enjoyed her Monday Canasta Day with her friends and always looked forward to spending time with her best friend Marlene.
Carole was a great cook and her family looked forward to her famous spaghetti that was made with the special ingredient of love. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and dancing with her partner of 18 years, Frank Stiglich. An avid reader, Carole finished several books a week. Carole will always be remembered by her generous and loving heart, her sweet and quiet spirit, and her ability to bring a smile to every life she touched.
Preceded in death by her parents, Louis Sienko and Josephine (Edward) Legerski; former spouse, Frank Costa; brother, Edward (Gertrude) Sienko; companion, Frank Stiglich.
Survived by her loving children, Jeffrey (Melynda) Costa, Marc (Candice) Costa and Lisa Costa, her best friend. Cherished grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Noble, Nicholas Costa, Julia (Bryson) Laken, Antonio Costa, Joshua Costa and her road trip buddies and "Girls" Cassandra and Alessandra Costa; loving niece and goddaughter Dana Sienko-Blatti; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; her "Bestie" Marlene (Robert) Rueger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Lightways Hospice.
