Carole Ingram Obituary

Carole Josephine “Jo” Poole Ingram, 83, of Salisbury, NC passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.

Jo was born February 19, 1942, daughter of John D. and Frances (Phelps) Poole of Salisbury. She graduated from Boyden High School, Class of 1960.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Ingram, in October 2003; her mother, Frances in December 2017; her father, John in October 1984; her sister, Beatrice in January 2008 (Roby deceased); and her sister, Rosemary in November 2023 (Lou).

She is survived by her brother, Phillip D. Poole and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by step-daughter, Laura (James) Wallace of Rogers, AR.

Jo was cremated and laid to rest with her husband at the U.S. National Cemetery Annex at a private graveside service.

Donations in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Salisbury, 223 N. Fulton St., Salisbury, NC 28144 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
