Mrs. Carole Joyce Padgett Bull, 82, of Clemmons, NC, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Trinity Elms, surrounded by her family.
Carole was born on January 26, 1942, to the late Glenn Padgett and Edith Häas Padgett in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She attended R.J. Reynolds High School and graduated from Brevard Junior College and the Massachusetts Sales Management Institute. Carole worked as a supervisor for Kelly Services from 1968-1969 before becoming an independent contractor for Nutrilite Inc., a producer of natural vitamins. Later in her career, she worked as a real estate agent for many years.
Carole was a member of the YWCA, the Federation of Republican Women, the Jaycees, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Winston-Salem. She also served as President of the North Carolina Security Guard and Patrol Agency. Her hobbies included writing poetry, reading, and going to church, and taking long and short rides with her husband and family. During her school career, she enjoyed participating in track and field events.
In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carlos Devan Bull, Sr.; brothers, George Padgett, Danny Padgett, and James "JG" Padgett; sisters, Portia Burke Joann Padgett Petty; brother-in-law, Alan Reece Bull; and sister-in-law, Nancy Bull; and niece, Debbie Bull Messick.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Carlos Devan Bull, Jr. (Sara Vasquez) and John E. Bull (Katherine “Kat” Bourassa); her two granddaughters, Lina Hernandez and Johanna Hernandez; sisters-in-law, Gayle Bull Compton and Sharon Bull; nephew, Stephen A. Bull (Jenna); and nieces, Beth Thetford Crossmon (Jason), Sheila Hasenstab (Bob), and Tracey Tesh.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. John Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends the night prior, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, between the hours of 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
