Carole Kaufman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services on Dec. 29, 2020.
Carole Haila Kaufman, 81, of Las Vegas Nevada, passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2020.

Carole was born on July 23rd, 1939 to David and Rhoda Tennen in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Lafayette High School in 1956, she received a Bachelor of Arts and Master's degree in Education from Brooklyn College. She devoted her professional life to educating New York City's students for over twenty-five years.

In 1954 Carole met her husband Irwin Kaufman and thus started a love affair that spanned over 66 years. Carole and Irwin wed in 1959, going on to have two children, Shari and Ken.

After retiring, Carole and Irwin moved out west and settled in Las Vegas, Nevada. She continued her commitment to children as a volunteer for several years with Operation School Bell of the Assistance League of Las Vegas. Carole was a doting wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a genius at loving, giving, listening, and supporting family and friends. If you were lucky enough to know Carole, you experienced a love and friendship that was as extraordinary in its depth as it was in its rarity.

Carole is survived by her husband Irwin, daughter Shari, son Ken, sister Gail and three adoring grandchildren David, Liam, and Grey. The world is a lesser place by her passing.

Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. A private funeral service will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
