Carole Kehoe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cater Funeral Home on Mar. 29, 2026.
Former Moberly City Clerk, Carole Kehoe, passes away in Orlando, Florida.

Carole A. Kehoe, 87, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away peacefully in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
Born on December 25, 1938, in Moberly, Carole was the daughter of Frank and Loretta David. From an early age, she learned the value of hard work and community while helping her mother in the family donut shop on North Morley Street. Those early experiences shaped a lifelong dedication to service, responsibility, and care for others. The shop remained a cherished part of her life until its closing in 1958 upon her mother's retirement.

Carole graduated from Moberly High School and continued her education at Moberly Area Community College. She began her professional career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., before returning home to Moberly in 1962. There, she devoted an extraordinary 41 years to the city government, faithfully serving her community until her retirement on March 1, 2004. Her commitment and steady presence left a lasting impact on the town she loved.
Beyond her career, Carole was deeply involved in her community. She was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi, Altrusa, and ABWA, forming lifelong friendships and contributing her time and talents generously. In her retirement years, she found joy in traveling and treasured special experiences, including attending the Rose Bowl Parade with her sister.
Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Kehoe Jr.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, John (April) Kehoe and Loretta (Jeremy) Roney; her grandchildren, Joshua (Rachel) Kehoe, Jakob (Samantha) Kehoe, Izabella Roney, and Alec Roney; and her four great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially for her strength and warmth as a mother, grandmother, and friend.
