Carole Matthews

Carole Smith Matthews died on October 2, 2025. She and her husband, Pastor Bo Matthews, served Eastern Hills Bible Church in Manlius, New York (9 years), Hinson Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon (5 years), and Brandywine Valley Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware (34 years). She was a published author of children's books and educational materials. She was Director of Assimilation and Communication for newcomers at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church. She met her husband, Bo Matthews, at Oklahoma Baptist University. They have three children and eight grandchildren.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 7 at Brandywine Valley Church (7 Mt Lebanon Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803). Friends may call beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place the following day at Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
