Carole Ann Pennock, 82, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on October 19, 1942, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of the late Edwin Stanley Cushing and Eugena May (Sherman) Cushing.
Carole was a 1961 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, received her Associate Degree from KCC and attended Western Michigan University. She was a Nurses Aid at Leila Hospital until she left to raise her family and later delivered the Battle Creek Shopper with her children when they were in school.
Carole is survived by her Daughter, Carolyn Ann Pennock; Son, Aaron Le Pennock; Granddaughter, Marissa (Russell) Hilbert; and Sister, Diane (Ralph) Cates. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Sisters, Betty (Gaylord) Maxson & Janet Elaine Moody; and Former Husband, John W. Pennock.
Carole enjoyed history, genealogy, going to Lake Michigan, playing the piano, photography, drawing, painting, astronomy, listening to the police scanner, listening to the weather scanner, music, watching the Indianapolis 500, Halloween, canning and cooking. She loved spending time with family.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on Wednesday October 1, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A celebration of Carole's life will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Steve Olmstead of Pleasantview Family Church officiating.
Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Calhoun County.
