Dear Tom, I met you at Bay park hospital and you touched my heart. My mom was in the room next to Carole. My mom was dying of cancer too. I hold dear to me the heart felt conversation we would have about our loved ones and how hard life is going to be without them. I think about you often and hope you are doing ok. Tom...you were one of the great blessing God gave me to get through this horrible unbearable loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. Sincerly, Charlene Rook

Carole was such a wonderful lady! I had the pleasure to work with her in our Early Childhood Coalition and cherish an arrangement she gave me one Christmas. What lovely tributes she's receiving from students--a testimony to the legacy she leaves, not just with her family. My thoughts and prayers are with Carole and her family at this time.

Tom and Family,
Although I am many miles away, my heart is with all of you on this very sad day. How fortunate I was to be able to talk with Carole a few weeks back. She gave me some excellent advice about appreciating life to its fullest and enjoy every moment. She is and has always been a special lady. Caring Thoughts.... Carole was the main reason that I came to teach at Lourdes. She was, and still is, "the wind beneath my wings." Oh, Carole, I already miss you so much. Thanks for all of the fun times. I will never forget you.

2 teach is 2 touch lives 4 ever! That is what Carole did. She has helped me to become the teacher that I am today. Her mentoring, support and genuine caring has meant the world to me. I can only hope to become 1/2 the teacher she was. I will always remember her smile and many stories about her family. May her family be comforted in knowing what an important person she was to so many. May she rest in peace.

Dear Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Carole touched my life and truly made a difference in my career choice. I will never forget the t-shirts she made for my class with a giant "R" painted on them to remind us to reflect on our teaching. She even made it to my wedding we invited her to. She truly cared about her students and wished the best for each of them. I will always remember her smile!

Carole was by far, the best teacher I ever had! I could not have asked for a better mentor, and would not have survived student teaching without her love and guidance. She taught me how to be my best and to always put the children first in all I do. She showed her love for children and her joy for teaching, in all she did. Carole used the gifts that God gave her, to the fullest! I can only hope to be half the teacher she is. I will miss her greatly! The family will continue to be in my prayers.

Dear Schultz Family,
Carole was one of the most giving and caring woman that I have had the pleasure of knowing. She not only guided me through my teaching education, but she believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. I am the educator I am today because of Carole and she will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you all.

I had the privilege of teaching with Carole's mother in the Webster School for a few years in the mid to late 50's probably starting when Carole was in the 6th grade. A truly wonderful family. It's such a joy to hear so many great things about her that have happened since I left that community. My sympathy to the family in your loss.

To The Schultz Family;
My prayers are with you during your time of loss. Mrs. Schultz was my advisor/teacher and mentor at Lourdes College. I will miss her smiling face in class and her stories about her grandsons. She was an inspiration to all that came in contact with her. She was my inspiration and she made sure that all her students became a teacher that she wanted us to be. I thank her for encouraging me not to give up when I wanted to. Mrs. Schultz was there for me up until I graduated
last year in Early Childhood with my Associates. I want to say she was the best Teacher/Mentor for me and I can say she is the reason I am the person/teacher that I am today. She is in a better place now smiling down on each and everyone of us. May God keep your family uplifted today and everyday.

To the Family of one of the most amazing teachers I ever came to know. Carol really cared about her students and made sure we understood the material and could apply what we learned in the future. She was one of those teachers you see on TV who influenced her students beyond the years spent in college. My prayers are with you all.

To the Shultz family,
Mrs. Shultz was a teacher, mentor and an inspiration to me. She taught me to never let others change my philosophy(beliefs) about education. She has a lot to do with the type of teacher I am today. She would always tell us to REFLECT- on everything we did. May God bless the family! I know she will be truly missed!

Mrs. Schultz, thank you so much for the excellent education you gave me at Lourdes College. To always remember to meet children's needs first. I remember when you were working with the scouts and I was too at the time and we exchanged very funny camp fire songs for the scouts such as God Bless my Underwear. You will truly be missed and I know that I will see you again in Heaven. I will be praying that the Lord comforts your family. Thanks again for making an everlasting impression to future educators to help our future, educating one child at a time. Your student,

Carole was a great person, one whom I shared a lot of laughs with when our paths crossed at Lourdes. I will miss her constant smile and I recall many students commenting on what a great influence she was on them. May your family find peace in knowing she was very loved and admired here at Lourdes, and will be greatly missed.

I knew Carole just a short while, meeting her after coming to work at Lourdes College. But in that short time we spoke many times. But it was obvious from the first time we talked that she was just a wonderful, sincere person. I had survived cancer and so we could discuss the treatment, how it made you feel, and how it made everyone and everything so relevant. Her children can be so proud of her, she seemed so at peace with life and appreciative of every moment of it. I am so very happy that I met her.
