Carole Bruce Weik was born February 18, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to James Monroe and Elyn Louise Herring. She passed away on June 9, 2024 at the age of 84.

Carole attended Brackenridge High School, where she was a member of the Purple Jackets and graduated in 1957. As a young woman, she enjoyed roller skating and was a dance skater. She also worked at Alamo Bank in downtown San Antonio for several years.

She married Edward Weik on June 24, 1964 and they shared 60 happy years together. Carole enjoyed reading, crosswords, music and was a lifelong sports fan. She also earned her black belt in Taekwondo. Carole also liked to travel and took trips to Panama, Colombia, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon to name a few. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Gail Fagan. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Edward E. Weik; daughters: Laura Weik, Karen Bonds and husband Shannon, and granddaughter Paige Bonds; brother, James Herring and wife Betty; and nieces and nephews: James Herring, Jr., Jonathan Herring, Cecily Breig, John Fagan, Paul Fagan, Patricia Pena, Linda Gonzalez, and Kathleen Brumagin.

Visitation will begin on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: John Michael Fagan, Paul Fagan, Jimmy Herring, Jonathan Herring, Joel Herring, and Steve Breig.
