It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Caroline Ann Furman, affectionately known as Sally, who left this world on September 26, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on June 26, 1937, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Carl and Martha (Stephens) Williams, Sally's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A proud graduate of Muskegon High School, Sally married the love of her life, Kenneth Furman, on September 3, 1955. For 42 years, she dedicated herself to her work as a machine operator at Howmet, where her commitment and work ethic were evident. After retiring to care for her ailing husband, Sally continued to serve her community by working as a driver for the Department of Human Services, ensuring that those in need arrived at their medical appointments safely.
A lifelong member of the Twin Lake Community Church, Sally was also actively engaged in various community organizations, including the Twin Lake Friendly Circle Club and the Twin Lake Old-Timers. She took pride in her role as a former member of the Holton American Legion Auxiliary, traveling across the country to support her husband at Korean War Veterans events. A true caretaker at heart, Sally opened her home and her heart to countless family members, friends, and acquaintances, always offering help and support wherever it was desperately needed.
