Cary, North Carolina - Caroline Winslow Norrington, 90, of Cary, NC passed away at Glenaire Retirement Community on July 30, 2023. She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on June 11, 1933.
She was a graduate of Tufts University. She was a lifelong educator and retired from teaching in Virginia Beach, VA. She was an avid reader, animal lover and master gardener. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Charles Gilbert Norrington, a career naval officer.
She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law; Charles Gilbert Norrington, Jr., and Barbara Allen of Durham, NC, George Dyer Norrington and Krista Grow of Glen Allen, VA. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Eric Charles Norrington (Jesci), G. Dyer Norrington, II (Kristen), Leslie Norrington Smith (Justin), Brett William Norrington (Michele), and Colin Patrick Norrington. She was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren; Ella Norrington, Carter and Cameron Smith, Paige and Graham Norrington.
There will be a private memorial service held at Glenaire in the fall of 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to: Alzheimer's Association at http://act.alz.org/goto/CarolineNorrington ASPCA at https://aspca.org/memorial Condolences may be shared at CremationSocietyNC.com
