Caroline C. Viola, 87 of Manchester, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Magnolia Gardens, Toms River. Born in New York, New York, she moved to Jersey City when she married her beloved husband 68 years ago. She later resided in Carteret for 13 years and Toms River for 14 years before moving to Manchester 25 years ago. She was a secretary for Toms River YMCA for 10 years and worked with her husband at Community Appraisal Service, Toms River for many years as a secretary before retiring. Caroline was a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. She enjoyed taking cruises and the beach. Be it painting or tending to her flowers she loved decorating her home and took great pride in it. She is known for her fantastic lasagna and Sunday sauce. Caroline is predeceased by her husband, Patrick A Viola, July 2025. Surviving are her children, Steven P Viola & wife Corey and Joann V Evanowski & husband Daniel, 6 grandchildren, Jillian (John), Kerry, Nicholas (Mary), Emily, Anthony (Erica), Michael (Arely) and 8 great grandchildren, John Michael, Adeon, Jenna, Joseph, Abigail, Michael, Justin & Stephen. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 19, 2025 at St John's Church, Lakehurst with inurnment to follow at St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
