Carolyn Sanders Alford, 80 of Wilson passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Mark Harrell will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Sonya Griffin and husband, Greg, and Cynthia Vick and husband, Kelly; son, Michael Alford and wife, Amanda, and her loving grandchildren, Maddie Vick, Abby Vick, McKenna Griffin, Jeremiah Alford, Daniel Alford, Miranda Alford, Gabriel Alford, and Tabitha Alford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of fifty-eight years that passed in 2021, David Monroe Alford; parents, Fletcher and Sophronia Sanders, and her brother, Fletcher Sanders, Jr.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all of Carolyn’s caregivers, for their support and love that was given to her.
