Carolyn Joan Armbrust, age 94 of Zanesville, passed away 11:20 PM, Friday, April 1, 2022, at Oaks at Bethesda in Zanesville.
She was born Thursday, August 4, 1927 in Zanesville the daughter of John A. Williams and Nellie M. (Durant) Williams. She was married on Monday, January 7, 1952 to James B. Armbrust who preceded her in death on Tuesday, November 7, 2000.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, where she served as Eucharistic Minister during Mass and to the homebound for many years.
Carolyn is survived by one son: Andrew (Cathy) Armbrust of Lenoir City, TN, 6 grandchildren: Jenny (Nate) Laurie of Zanesville, Katie (Steve) Cunningham of McDermott, OH, Brian (Michelle) Armbrust of Chesapeake, VA, Staci (James) Lipford of Hampton, VA, Ryan (Jenny) Armbrust of Louisville, KY and Robert (Nikki) Armbrust of Knoxville, TN and 6 great grandchildren: Lexi, Kaylee; Isabella, Isaiah, Carter and Ellie and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son James "Jeff" (Kathy) Armbrust, one brother Raymond "Bud" Williams and one sister, Rita Settle.
Donations may be made in Carolyn's name to the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Ave. Zanesville, OH 43701.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church 925 East Main Street Zanesville, with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. My deepest sympathies. I knew Mrs. Armbrust through my parents, Ang & Marilyn Rosta. She was a lovely person. She will be missed so much but never forgotten.
