Carolyn “Carol” L. Bankert (nee Ash), 81 of Westminster, MD passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at her home.

She was the beloved wife of the late L. Brian Bankert.

Born December 9, 1943, in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Richard Stanley Ash, Sr. and the late Alice May Ash (nee Benjamin).

Carol loved going to Ocean City, MD, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, taking care of her flowers around her house, decorating for holidays especially Christmas and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survived by her children Edward Brian Green, Jake Green and Peggy Sue Durda; grandchildren Robbie Green, Krystal Myers, Jessica Alspaugh, Megan Green, Racheal Harlow, Micheal Harlow, Shawn Leonard. Devoted sister of Richard S. Ash Jr., Ronald D. Ash, Brenda J. Forgrave and Ralph Ash, also, survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by lifelong friend Bill Ludwig, brother Robert Ash and sister-in-law Mary Ash.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6-8 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School), where funeral service will be held on October 1, 2025, at 12 Noon

.Interment at Lake View Memorial Park.
