Carolyn Anne Beal

GREENFIELD – Carolyn Anne (Sipe) Beal passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, in Greenfield, Indiana at the age of 83. She was born in Miamisburg, Ohio to Wilma and George Gilbert Sipe, Carolyn was a loyal wife and mother and served as a court reporter in Indianapolis for nearly twenty years.
Devoted to family, Carolyn is survived by her husband, Floyd (m. 1962), sons Doug (Erin), David (Catherine), and Eric, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her sister, Betti-jane App (Ed). She treasured visits from children and grandchildren.
A thrifty consumer, hard worker, and avid reader, she raised and canned vegetables early on. She loved to entertain and cook, creating a laughter-filled, warm and welcoming home for family, friends, and guests. In retirement, she raised hosta plants, learned to ballroom dance, traveled, and showed Airedales for many years, splitting time between Florida and Indiana. Throughout her life she adored stitchery and knitting, kept dogs, rode horses and volunteered generously with community organizations and churches. More than all of these things, she loved Floyd, her husband, best friend, and teammate of 62 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 723 Upper Miamisburg Rd. Miamisburg, OH 45342.
