Carolyn A. Butler, 87, born in Troy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family and the love they shared.

She was the devoted mother of Richard Butler (Joyce), Michael Butler (Barbara), and Colleen Hepfinger (Andrew), and a loving Nana to four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her sisters Shirley DiScanio, Noreen Carman, Mary Cyr, and Pauline Roullier; brothers John Behan and Robert Behan; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Behan, and her parents, Agnes Behan Pagers and Francis Behan.

Known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit, Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. She enjoyed a long career in the beer industry and loved traveling the world.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carolyn's family Wednesday, February 4, 2026 10:30 to 11:30 am at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:30am. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only.

The Rite of Committal will be held privately.

To my cousins and extended family - I am saddened to hear of Aunt Carolyn´s Passing. May the memories you´ve shared throughout life fill your hearts with love and bring a sense of peace as you grieve this loss. May her soul rest in peace.
