Carolyn Carrasquillo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson McQueen Funeral Homes - Tyrone Family Tribute Center on Jan. 14, 2025.
Carolyn "C.C." Carrasquillo, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 2, 2025, in St Petersburg FL, at the age of 74. Born August 22, 1950, in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of George and Ethel Jones. Raised in Charleston SC, C.C. was a graduate of the 1969 class of N. Charleston High School in Charleston, SC. She furthered her education at Bauder College in Atlanta, GA before moving to Florida in 1976.
Her dedication to public service was evident through her distinguished career in law enforcement which included Clearwater Police Department where she retired as a Crimes Against Persons Investigator and Orange County Sheriff's Office where she retired as a Child Abuse Investigator. C.C. also served as a Code Enforcement Officer with Largo Police Department, and was licensed as a Private Investigator. She was a member of the International Association of Woman Police (IAWP) and was a member of Indian Rock's Baptist Church.
Carolyn was an independent woman that enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She had a love for animals and was an avid reader. However, hands down C.C.'s favorite past time was shopping, as was evident by her collection of art work and collectables. She also had a sincere appreciation for a good drink!
C.C. was predeceased by her parents, George and Ethel Jones, her husband, William Thomas Cribb, and her daughter, Carol Renee Cribb. She is survived by her son William Thomas "Tommy" Cribb Jr.; her sisters, Runell (Dick) Moyer of Rockport, IN, and Janice Thibodeaux of St Pete Beach, FL. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Zach, Michael, Dante, Alex, Elizabeth, and Jacob and her great granddaughter Willow, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. C.C.'s memory will be treasured and kept alive in the stories shared by her family and the countless lives she touched.

I met Carolyn at the International Assoc. Of Women Police Conference in NYC. We became friends immediately. Her smile lit up the room, Even though at that time she was still grieving the loss of her husband. We talked and shared our pain. A hug at the end of the day sealers the friendship.

Over the years we would see each other, talk on the phone and continue to share. Her loss will resonate with me till the end of time. She was an amazing woman, and a true friend. Miss you so much.
